Airline Baggage and Hand Luggage Allowances
As the summer holidays approach a lot of holidaymakers will be travelling for the first time since the security at the end of last summer. As
Darren Cronian points out on his
Travel Rants site: "the airlines seem to be getting stricter on baggage allowances, and whilst in the past they might be lenient on those slightly over the allowance, that seems not to be the case nowadays."
Many airlines have reduced the baggage allowance this year, also restrictions have been added to the maximum weight a single bag can be, and some have also limited the number of bags you can take.
So to help out this years holidaymakers get it right and avoid airline fines and embarrassment at the check in desk AllCheapFlights has put together a list links direct to the baggage pages on the airlines website.
We also recommend you read Department of Transport’s
hand luggage guidance.
We have included over 40 European Airlines, but if we have missed any or any of the links don’t work anymore please do
let us know.
